Traditional IT architectures, built on central datacentres and hub-and-spoke networks, are unsuitable to meet today’s demands, which is leading to a number of problems:

• By locating data closer to the people, applications, clouds and things that need to use it, enterprises can solve many of the performance, cost and compliance issues associated with highly centralised architectures.
• Interconnection hubs allow secure and scalable data exchange between customers, partners and clouds in controlled environment — reducing the costs and risks of transferring data over large physical distances
• Data can be stored proximate to public cloud services such as compute and analytics, and connected to them via dedicated fibre connections, providing the lowest latency, best performance and highest level of security possible
